Getting Started on Teachers Pay Teachers
This week, I finally opened a Teachers Pay Teachers store. I have a friend and colleague who has been telling me to do this for quite some time and I finally took the leap. I create materials for my students all the time. As teachers, we use so much of our personal time and resources (financial and otherwise) for our kiddos in the classroom that, if you can share them with the bigger world without too much effort, why not? As they say, sharing is caring. Let's not all reinvent the wheel.
The other thing is, TpT has grown exponentially as a market. I was so surprised! There are all kinds of products being offered there --great and not-so-great ideas and presentations from all.
For me, these last few days have been very fast learning about the basics of the platform, what people need and like, how to present it, etc. My new teacher store is https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Empower-Your-Life. I will be adding resources sometimes there, sometimes here. Go and visit!
I created a one-page document with some of the lessons that I have learned this week, from product design, to clipart and fonts, to making covers. Check out more details on the lessons I learned, here.
